Therapeutic Yoga
for Pain, Anxiety & Overwhelm
Transformation doesn’t happen overnight. (I know, it’s a bummer.) If you are looking to transform your relationship to pain, anxiety, and/or overwhelm, it will take effort and devotion. It will require you to show up for yourself on a regular basis. You will need to learn ways to move and rest that cause less pain in your body as well as learn to be with physical and mental discomfort without becoming consumed by it.
If you are tired of being promised “quick fixes” for your pain, anxiety, overwhelm or aging body, are ready to prioritize your own physical and mental health instead of putting everyone else first, and are ready to create a gentle yoga habit that will support you physically, mentally and spiritually as you navigate the inevitable ups and downs of life:
“Practicing yoga with Sarah is like stepping off of the roller coaster I didn’t even realize I was on! My Homecoming membership has helped me tremendously with my anxiety levels. It helps me to refocus my thoughts on the more positive.”
— Homecoming member
“I can’t say enough about Sarah’s deep listening skills, responsiveness, and gentle, thoughtful approach to healing through yoga. For many years, she has met me on the mat with new ideas, empathy and effective strategies for living with chronic pain, grief, anxiety, insomnia and depression.”
— Yoga Therapy Client
“Sarah's knowledge and teaching always seems to unlock my tension and pain and allows me to feel more relaxed, balanced, and stronger physically and mentally.”
— Tamara in Portland
I don’t offer quick fixes. I work with people who understand that aging, illness, and suffering are not just a part of every life, but also can be portals to transformative learning.
Yoga Therapy is NOT a replacement for physical therapy and/or mental health counseling. I am not a licensed physical or mental health care provider, I am a certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapy.
